The new Pace has some amazing design touches such as a rose gold tint to the hood, chassis and stroller trims that make it stand out from its rivals. The grey, tan and cream fabrics used in the stroller as well as the car seat are super elegant and there is an option to add the handle for the cover and bumper bar too.

The stroller seat is used from birth until 22kg. It can easily be converted into a 2-in-1 reversible position, either parent-facing or world-facing. The stroller seat features multiple lie-back positions, soft padded legs rests, and an extendable sun canopy that has hidden zip sections and a transparent flap, and retractable visor.

When folded, the Pace measures 56 x 43cm x 32cm, which makes it suitable for hand luggage on Easyjet and Ryanair. It's also easy to fold down, using two buttons on the handlebar's opposite side which just click in and out. Then, it will pop up.

I tested it alongside my two kids - a toddler and an eight-week-old - on rocky pavements along woodland paths, grassy trails and even cobblestones.

The large puncture-proof wheels - 22cm or 30cm in size - can handle a variety of terrains. The wheels have an opening that can be opened or closed to let air in when needed. It's a bit larger than some pushchairs, but it does not feel heavy or bulky when pushing over bumpy surfaces.

The fabric of the seat is machine washable, as are the frame and faux leather grips are simple to clean. It's also quieter than other pushchairs and I felt comfortable using it in busy urban streets. It has integrated accessory points that allow you to attach parasols and footmuffs as well as changing bags or snack trays, and even snack tray. The hood can be used to block the elements of wind and rain, but it's not waterproof.
