Upgrades to items allow players to boost an item's gear score up to 700 and also add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded if they are in your inventory and you take them to the kiln.

Certain items can be upp'd to increase their stats (like an ideally broken point armour that is rolled for melee PvP) while other items, such as weapons don't change much post upgrade, and therefore aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to increase their numeric stats such as crit chance, attack damage, PvE and damage from PvP. Weapons also come with a flat bonus which increases the damage they deal per second. In addition there are many weapons with an added bonus that is activated when three or more of the same weapon are equipped on a single unit. In some cases this bonus could amount to more than the amount of damage that a weapon can sustain on its own.

The cost of upgrading a weapon is contingent on its rarity and current level. For example, an +2 weapon requires two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a weapon will continue to rise until it requires the higher level of Smithing Stones, at which point it will reset to one.

Upgrades to weapons also alter the stats of their base. While this is usually a good thing but it can also have negative consequences as well. Upgrades can make items unusable, unless you are very lucky.

Items of armor can also be upgraded to boost their performance. This will increase the defense of a helm or chest while belts and gloves will increase their required strength and agility. Armor offers a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense%. This means that it is able to reroll down to a lower value.

The upgrade template for a weapon shows the new stats that it will get when upgraded, along with their respective values. This means that a change from a sword that has 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword will result in the weapon gaining 3% of attack damage. The 3% does not mean that the weapon will strike three times less, since it is an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon is possible by pressing the green button in the item upgrade menu using the circling arrows. This will roll the item upgrader kit (relevant site) and alter its stats however, it will not reset the weapon's level or bind to account status.

Armor

A few armor upgrades can make all the difference to your survivability. Certain sets offer massive increases in poison, curse, fire and magic resistance, which can make traversing tough areas a breeze. In general, the greater defense your character has, the more value you can get from every point of health you have therefore it is important to improve your armor as much as possible.

You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four of them, and each requires you to complete a special side quest that involves the Stable Trotters musical troupe. Once you've completed the main quest and the associated fountains, you'll have the option of talking to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor.

The amount of materials required to upgrade each piece of armor will differ. In general, you'll be looking at anything from three to ten Red Chuchu Jellies and 10 Rupees for the first upgrade, then anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Horns for each subsequent upgrade. For example the Champion Leathers could be upgraded to +5 defense, allowing you to keep up with a large group of adversaries in most cold environments and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded up to +20 defense, granting the protection needed to survive an entire raid with a few friends.

It isn't possible to upgrade armor the same as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior, you should focus on upgrading your armor for physical strength or the power of spells. You should also save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor that you'll still be wearing by the end of the story, such as the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you use in the final boss fight The Monter Parts Merchant Mask.

By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town, you can gain some benefits to your armor. Generally speaking, you'll want to keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to beat the game, like the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer however, it could be useful to have a few upgrades to your helmets and chest armor that let you stealthy battle certain monsters.

Potions

Potions are bottled substances that, when consumed, give the player an effect on their status for a short period of time. There are five types of potions that have different effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded, enhancing their effectiveness. You can also increase the effects of certain potions by adding glowstone dust and redstone.

Potion upgrades cost a specific amount of XP, which can be earned by crafting them on a crafting table or in an Alchemist's chest. The upgrade price varies depending on the type of potion and the Best item upgrade's rarity and Mark Level.

To upgrade a potion, click right on it in your inventory and select the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open an GUI where you can select the potion you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they will give you when upgraded. Upgrading potions can be done in batches of up to five at a time and the XP they earn will be added to your current XP total.

Once a potion is upgraded, it will not be degraded until you use it again, or break the bottle it's stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to change the name of the potion.

Version 1.7.2 brought a few changes to the way potions are used. Splash potions for instance, now have a duration 0:08 instead of the 22.5 seconds displayed on the hover display for the item. The table for potion is now crafted from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. This allows it to be utilized by players in Survival and Bedrock. Unlike the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions can't be mixed in cauldrons. The same is true for using a potion within an empty cauldron. This will draw out the potion and refill the bottle.

There are also simmering potions that are made with dragon breath and splash potions. Similarly, a lingering potions' effect is extended by adding redstone. The table of potion ingredients is now organized more closely to the Java Edition, and new potions were added, such as potion of leaping, potion of decomposition, and turtle master potions.

Trinkets

A trinket can be an ornament that is small and inexpensive or piece of jewelry. It could also refer to an ornament or object that has a purpose but is not important as a Thimble. In some cultures, trinkets are used to signify affection or friendship, specifically between family members.

In addition to weapons, armor and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be obtained by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. In contrast to other upgrades for items trinkets, trinkets can be exchanged at will without losing their stats.

Upgrade vendors can be found at the capitals of each zone, and sometimes in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased with gold, tokens, or fragments from rare trinkets.

Upgrading a trinket is a cost-effective alternative to purchasing new ones. It is possible to upgrade a player for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket will feature the same base ilvl as old one, and will have an additional upgrade bonus of 1.

Once the old Trinkets are no longer useful they can be upgraded. This allows a player to increase their power and value with time. They can also be traded between players, making them an extremely popular alternative to gold.

Players must upgrade their most valuable items first. This means that the most-important slot items for each class are upgraded first before their secondary gear and other pieces of equipment that won't replace anytime soon (such as a ring or an cloak). Players should also take into consideration their class's preferred stats when selecting which items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to a tank player, then they should upgrade their chest, helm and shoulders.

Trinkets can be upgraded to a higher level once they no longer have value and the new trinket can be upgraded to have an additional upgrade bonus of 1. However, a re-upgrade can destroy the old trinket, unless it is saved using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an additional salvage tool of higher quality. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades but still less expensive than buying a new one.
