Lever Pad

There are cylinders that have been constructed to withstand snapping. This is a common occurrence on cylinders. A specific tool is used to break the lock's break line and then the front of the cylinder is snapped off. This is a lot faster and easier to achieve than opening multipoint locks and leaves little evidence of a break-in, which can hinder the insurance claim.

Spring Cassette

The spring cassette is located inside the base of your door handle's backplate, providing a spring solution to return your multipoint lock handles to their original position after usage. These handles used to have no spring, and would slide when the locking window handle mechanism was disengaged. The addition of this simple element is one of the best ways to correct this, and is an excellent way to stop your doors made of upvc from getting stuck in either closed or open position, as these aren't always easy to manually close by hand.

These spring cassettes have been specifically designed for use with sprung multipoint locks They will not work with non-sprung multipoint handles. You will need to have a hole specifically cut in your backplate in order for them to fit (please see image for technical diagram). They are a replacement for existing broken or missing cassettes within the backplate of the door handle for numerous brands of uPVC doors. They are available as a single unit. They have a square-cut out that can accommodate an 8mm shaft.
