The XL Air is a really impressive vehicle, and it's easy to understand why it has received so many high marks from customers. It's extremely light-weight with the chassis and wheels weigh only 6.5kg. It's also very easy to assemble. I was able to get it up and running in under five minutes - which is remarkable considering it also includes the ability to attach fabric to the carrycot.

The seat is large and comfortable for Annie who is 12 months old. The recline lever was easy to operate. There's a good amount of room in the basket, and I love the fact that it comes with an open-top pocket on the handle bar so you can keep your phone and keys secure!

The only downside is the handlebar is low, which could be a problem for taller parents. It's covered with a soft, comfy leather-like material that is easy to clean.

Hauck Pushchair Runner

The Runner is made for sporty parents who can't wait to go out and explore. Its large pneumatic wheels were designed to be used on forest and field trails and the front 3 wheel pushchair travel system can be swivelled and locked for additional versatility. The stroller also features a 5-point safety harness with a front bar to keep your child safe during all journeys. The parking brake keeps the stroller in place as you take a break. The seat can be adjusted to a laying position and the canopy can be opened to allow for maximum air circulation during hot days. The handle can be adjusted by more than 30cm to accommodate mum or dad.

The Runner will accompany you on all your adventures whether it's a leisurely jog, a longer hike or a long distance trek. It comes with a lay-flat seat with suspension air wheels to ensure an easy ride. The front wheel is lockable to provide more stability on narrow streets and overcrowded sidewalks and the stroller folds easily to fit into car boot spaces and storage areas.

The Runner 2 is a bit more difficult to maneuver for some parents than its predecessor. Additionally the locking system (requiring two buttons either on either side of the handlebar) isn't as user-friendly. The handlebar is higher than the ones of competitors and therefore it may not suit shorter parents but overall, it's an extremely sturdy and flexible stroller worth considering for active families.

Red Kite's Pace is a top product from the cost-effective British brand. They are known for their simple, well-designed products that are essential to parents. It's the newest and most expensive version of their bargain light stroller range and as with the Ickle Bubba Aurora and Yoyo is car seat compatible which means you can use it right from birth (the carrycot folds away).

The new Pace features some stunning design elements, including a rose-gold tint on the hood, chassis, and stroller trims, which really make it stand out. The car seat and stroller fabrics are fashionable in tan, grey and cream. You can also choose to add a leather handle and bumper bar to match.

It is suitable from birth up to a max weight of 22kg and the stroller seat can easily be converted from the carrycot into a 2-in-1 reversible mode, parent-facing or world-facing. The stroller seat features various lie-back positions, soft padded legs rests, and an extendable sun canopy that has zip-off sections that are concealed with a view-through flap, and a retractable visor.

Furthermore, when folded, the Pace measures up at 56 33 x 43 x 32cm, which means it passes for hand luggage with Easyjet and Ryanair, among others. Two buttons on either side are easy to use and can be clicked to lock it in the right position.

It comes with accessory points that allow you to attach parasols and footmuffs as well as changing bags or snack trays, and even snack trays. You can also use the hood to block rain and wind, but it's not particularly waterproof. It's a single pram, but you can add their Comfort 3 wheeled pushchairs Board (not included) to give your child a bit of leg room. The bassinet took 20 minutes to put together, and it took about the same amount of time to convert it into an actual seat.
