A euro cylinder should be measured correctly to ensure it's the correct size for your door. The cylinder should be measured from the screw hole at the center to the ends of the cylinder. This includes the thumb turn in the event that one is present. It is recommended to do this while the lock is in place however in the event that this is not feasible, you can take it off and remove it to take measurements.
